Smile Makeover Candidates
Are in good oral health
A healthy smile is the best foundation for a beautiful smile. We can help you address oral health issues such as gum disease and tooth decay before any cosmetic dentistry treatments.
Do not use tobacco
Smoking can impact your oral health and cause staining, decay, and even tooth loss. It is best to stop using tobacco products to keep your smile beautiful and healthy.
Have primarily cosmetic concerns
Smile makeovers are mainly meant to improve appearance, not dental health or function. While some common smile makeover treatments offer these benefits, such as dental crowns or orthodontics, most cosmetic dentistry procedures focus only on aesthetics. If you're interested in a restorative treatment plan instead, talk to our dentists about full mouth reconstruction.

Porcelain Veneers
A veneer is a thin shell that fits over the front surface of a tooth to conceal issues like cracks, chips, stains, and even minor misalignments.
Dental Bonding
Great for chips and cracks, dental bonding allows your dentist to mold a resin material directly onto a tooth to address areas of damage. This material is hardened with a special light and looks just like the real thing.
Dental Crowns
A dental crown provides strength and protection to a damaged tooth while also improving a range of aesthetic aspects. If you are missing a single tooth, our dentists can pair a dental crown with a dental implant to fill in the gap.
Gum Contouring
If you have an uneven gumline or a gummy smile, gum contouring can give you a more symmetrical smile. Our cosmetic dentists use laser technology for more accurate results, less discomfort, and faster healing.
Orthodontics
Crooked or gapped teeth or a misaligned bite are not just aesthetic issues; they can also cause jaw pain and make it difficult to brush and floss properly. Our New Jersey cosmetic dentists offer traditional braces as well as OrthoFX® clear aligners, which are similar to Invisalign®.
Teeth Whitening
Yellowed or stained teeth can cause embarrassment and make your smile look unhealthy. We offer in-office and take-home Zoom!® teeth whitening kits to help you dramatically whiten your smile more effectively and quickly than over-the-counter whitening products can.

Frequently Asked Questions About Smile Makeovers
Q. Does a smile makeover hurt?
A. No. Some procedures, such as teeth whitening and porcelain veneers, are practically painless. For treatments that involve more significant tooth alteration, such as dental crowns, your dentist will thoroughly numb the area to ensure you are completely comfortable before beginning your procedure. We also offer calming dental sedation for added reassurance.
Q. How much does a smile makeover cost?
A. Because a smile makeover is customized to your aesthetic goals, costs vary from patient to patient. Factors that can impact cost include the type of procedures performed as part of your makeover, the extent of treatment, and if you need any preparatory treatments before your cosmetic work can be completed. During your initial consultation, your dentist will create a custom treatment plan, and we will then be able to provide you with an accurate quote so you can plan and budget.
Q. How long will my makeover take?
A. This, again, will vary from patient to patient depending on the type and extent of treatment. In-office teeth whitening can take as little as an hour, while dental crowns or porcelain veneers usually take two appointments. Braces or OrthoFX clear aligners, which are similar to Invisalign®, take about 12–24 months to provide full results, depending on the severity of your misalignment.
