What are FASTBRACES®, and how are they different?
FASTBRACES® use triangular brackets instead of square ones and a specially designed wire, which together apply pressure to the tooth crown and root at the same time. The system needs fewer adjustments than traditional braces, which means fewer office visits, and NÜVA Smile offers three versions.

What are OrthoFX® clear aligners, and what's included?
OrthoFX® is a clear aligner system: custom trays, each worn for about a week and 22 hours a day, gradually move teeth into place. Treatment at NÜVA Smile includes doctor visits, a 3D scan, all aligners, free replacement aligners, one set of retainers, and a satisfaction guarantee from the start.

What happens from consultation to final smile?
Orthodontic treatment at NÜVA Smile follows six steps. It starts with a free consultation with digital X-rays and scans, then a written price and benefits check before you commit. After your braces or aligners go on, checkups keep treatment on track, and a custom retainer protects the result.

At what age should my child see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check by age 7, when problems with bite and jaw growth are easier to spot. Children as young as eight can be eligible for braces at NÜVA Smile, and the consultation is free.
How long do braces take?
Braces take about 18 to 24 months on average, depending on how much your teeth need to move. FASTBRACES® are designed to shorten treatment for many cases. Your dentist gives you an estimated timeline, along with your written price, at the free consultation.
Do braces hurt?
Placing braces does not hurt, but teeth often feel sore for a few days after braces go on and after adjustments. Over-the-counter pain relief taken as directed, a cool compress, cold water and soft, cold foods help. The discomfort is temporary.
Can adults get braces or clear aligners?
Yes. Children, teens and adults are all treated at NÜVA Smile. Many adults choose ceramic braces, FASTBRACES® Ceramic Clear™, or OrthoFX® or Invisalign® clear aligners for a more discreet look. Braces start at $2,700, and the free consultation lets you compare options side by side.
Do I need a retainer after braces?
Yes. After braces come off, you receive a custom retainer, often worn every night, to hold teeth in their new position while the bone around them settles. OrthoFX® aligner treatment includes one set of FXTetra™ Bright retainers. Wear yours exactly as instructed to protect your result.

Yes. Every NÜVA Smile office offers a free orthodontic consultation, with no obligation. It usually takes 30 to 60 minutes and includes an exam, digital X-rays or scans where needed, your options, a written price and an insurance and financing check.
